This Cookie Notice explains how AdHive Group (“AdHive”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.adhivegroup.com, what they are used for and how you can control them. It applies together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.
We handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa and, where it applies to visitors from the European Union or the United Kingdom, the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the website recognise your device, remember your choices and understand how the website is used. Browser storage technologies such as local storage and session storage work in a comparable way, and this notice uses the word “cookies” for all of them.
Cookies set by this website are first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation whose service is embedded in the website, for example a video player, are third-party cookies. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
We group the cookies and services on this website into four categories.
Essential. Needed for the website to work, to keep it secure and to remember your cookie choices. These are always active and cannot be switched off.
Functional. Optional features such as the live chat, the map on our contact page and visual enhancements.
Analytics. Statistics on how visitors use the website, which help us improve its content and performance.
Marketing. Embedded media from third parties that may use cookies to measure or personalise advertising.
When you first visit the website, a consent banner asks for your choice. Functional, analytics and marketing services stay blocked until you accept their category. While they are blocked they set no cookies and receive no data from your browser.
The table below lists every cookie and similar technology used on this website, grouped by category and service.
Essential services are required for the basic functionality of the website. They only contain technically necessary services and cannot be switched off.

The website chat lets you send a message to the AdHive Group team directly from any page. Your first replies come from an AI assistant. The chat runs on technology from Vendasta, whose servers receive your IP address and technical browser data when the widget loads. The assistant's profile image is loaded from a Google server. Cookies are used to recognise a returning visitor and to keep a conversation together across page views. Anything you type into the chat is transmitted to and stored by the chat service so that we can reply to you.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Use the buttons below to open your cookie settings, to see the choices you have made on this device, or to withdraw your consent. A “Cookie Settings” link is also available in the footer of every page.
Some of the services listed above are provided by organisations outside South Africa, including Google (Google Analytics, Google Maps and YouTube) and Vendasta Technologies Inc. in Canada, whose technology runs our live chat. If you consent to these services, your IP address and usage data may be transferred to and processed in other countries, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies, for example the Google privacy and data protection terms and the Vendasta privacy policy. We only load a third-party service after you have accepted its category.
To be able to show that consent was given, we keep a record of the choices made through the consent banner. The record contains a random identifier that is also stored in a cookie on your device, the date and time, the choices made, the version of the banner that was shown and technical details of how the choice was made, such as the page and the button used. It does not contain your name. Your IP address is not kept in readable form; only a one-way hash of it is stored. Your choice is remembered for 12 months, after which the banner asks again. Consent records are kept for four years and then deleted.
We may update this Cookie Notice when we add or remove services or when legal requirements change. If we add a service that needs consent, the banner will ask for your choice again.
